Ozzie Newsome and his Baltimore Ravens roster have the same trouble from their last year's lost of Ray Lewis and Ed Reed in retirement and free agency. Luckily, they just have signed Terrell Suggs for a multi-year contract extension that will net him seven million dollars per year. Newsome said that Ray Rice is still a big part of their franchise and he will be extended accordingly. The only problem for this 2013 Super Bowl winning squad is to sign and draft players that can make a play, the game changers who can easily turn up the momentum towards them and win the game.
In the draft, they can grab Aaron Donald for their first round pick. It may seem a bit of a reach in terms of their big board but instant playmaking abilities that Donald put on the table was undeniable. In their second round, they could grab an Anquan Boldin replacement in Jordan Matthews and a backup quarterback in the third round in Tajh Boyd if he's still on the board. In the third day of the draft, they can fill their special teams by drafting defensive backfield players, tight ends and develop them to starting caliber players for the next years to come.
In the free agency, bringing back Arthur Jones is the next big move they could have make before free agency market begins. They afford to lose Paul Kruger, Jarrett Johnson, Ed Reed and a lot of players in the past but enough is enough for this Ravens thin-depth defense. Signing Karlos Dansby could keep their defense atop in defensive rankings and adding another wide receiver threat can make Joe Flacco's arm happy.
