Missouri's Michael Sam Could Be the First Openly Gay NFL Player

Michael Sam is a 2014 NFL draft prospect projected as a hybrid defensive end and outside linebacker who can play both 3-4 and 4-3 schemes in the NFL. Graded as a mid-round talent, a NFL analyst said that his draft stock would not be hurt because of his gender orientation and never be a factor to have his dream job in the NFL.

One of the executives in the NFL also said that the "NFL is ready" to accommodate at least an openly gay athlete in the league.

Barack Obama also said that Michael Sam shows "true sportsmanship" after showing his passion to continue football in spite of all criticisms he will get.
