The New York Jets decision to retain Rex Ryan as the team's head coach could be their best move this off-season as Rex Ryan will continue to innovate the Jets to his philosophy of a run-stopping and run-heavy team this coming season.

The team boasts the league's best defensive line with Damon "Big Snacks" Harrison, Sheldon Richardson, and Muhammad Wilkerson. They could anchor the Jets defense for a decade displaying dominance this early stage of their young careers. Jets issues this off-season will be their pass-rush and their secondary. The departure of Darrelle Revis hurt their defense as a whole that put Rex Ryan on a hot season throughout the whole season. Their offense was lead by a rookie quarterback namely Geno Smith and an improving aerial attack in order to compete over AFC East rivals.

The team needs in the draft is another young defensive back for their first round, a pass-rusher in the second or third round, and a variety of offensive weapons in later rounds. In free agency, they could grab Brent Grimes if Miami Dolphins would let him test the free agency market. Also, signing a proven running back could complete some of their offense missing puzzles.
